Salt Lake Police to get new revenue stream from pedestrians

With cash extraction practices around $1000 per shift per vehicle, the UHP and others want to increase collection practices on those that walk, also. Gone are the days when only motorists are forced to pay Law Enforcement growth industry for what are illegal traffic stops in over 99% of all cases. Back in the day, a cop used his overhead lights in cases of emergency. Now the lights are used to get through red lights and to stop vehicles in which there is no suspicion that a crime has been committed and also without a warrant.

A cop can legally kill you for not wearing a seat belt.

With this added enforcement policy, it is expected that the rate of infractions will rise dramatically and therefore require hundreds or thousands of additional police to write the tickets.
