OGDEN — The Ogden 2nd District Courthouse was evacuated due to a bomb threat, and Salt Lake City authorities investigated 3 unfounded threats on Thursday, officials said.
The evacuation in Ogden started just after 1:30 p.m., according to state courts spokesman Geoffrey Fattah. The threat was called in to Weber County Dispatch, he said.
Police cleared the building by about 3:30 p.m., and court operations were resuming as normal, Fattah said.
The courthouse, 2525 Grant Ave., was evacuated due to a similar threat just a week ago. That threat was reported on April 5, but was found to be unsubstantiated.
Salt Lake City authorities also were investigating two bomb threats at The Road Home and one at The Gateway, according to city spokeswoman Kenya Rene. Police did not find any signs of a bomb near that area, according to Salt Lake City police detective Matt Roper.
